KENNEDY WEIR: Volunteer Spirit Award Winner!

It’s National Volunteer Week. A time to recognize all volunteers for the time they selflessly give to others and to our community. It’s also┬áthe perfect time to recognize some Saint John Volunteer who have gone above and beyond in the past year.

Kennedy Weir is a volunteer extraordinaire around the Saint John area! She began volunteering at the Imperial Theatre several years ago and is a regular there, greeting patrons, ushering them to their seats, handing out programs, and cleaning up at the end of shows. Three days a week she takes three buses from her home on the west side and three home again to volunteer as a dining room hostess at Loch Lomond Villa. The residents and staff of Willow House look forward to the time she spends with them. She is eager to help and does so with an engaging smile. She also volunteers regularly with comedian James Mullinger at his charity events, and last year volunteered at the Fringe Festival, the Tall Ship Festival, Area 506 Festival, and the ECMAs! If there’s an event in Saint John you can be sure this girl will be there with bells on, ready to roll up her sleeves and helping out.
