…while giving your charity a chance to win $5000!
The Grade 9 class of Rothesay Netherwood School is looking to partner up with some local charities to learn more about being involved with social needs that they feel connected to. This is a part of their Discovery class in partnership with the Youth Philanthropist Initiative (YPI) program. Students will be learning about what they value as important and we will hopefully be able to match these students up with local charities to really get to know and understand what type of work goes into running a charity. What we would be asking of charities, is to be open to communication with a group of 4-6 students via telephone and e-mail, but more importantly being open to having these students come to visit the local charities and hopefully getting a hands on experience. Students will then present what they have learned to a panel of judges and the winning charity will be given a cheque of $5000.00 – half to be raised by the Grade 9 class, and the other half to be matched by the YPI program. There are a few requirement put in place by the YPI program to be eligible for the money, so please see this form >>> YPI Grant Criteria
If you think that your charity would be open to this, please contact Jennifer Dykerman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
