We are looking for a new Team Lead/Head Chef! 

Are you…

Do you have…

-A valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
-A Clean Criminal Record and Social Development Check (we can help access this)
-Proficiency in spoken and written English
-A Red Seal (or equivalent experience cooking)
-Management & Coaching or Training experience

We are looking for a Manager who can identify opportunities to improve current operations and navigate smart growth for our organization & our new location in the HUB. 

Responsibilities Include:

-Ensuring daily operations
-Fostering a team environment & mentoring employees through professional conduct
-Identifying areas for process improvement and making it happen
-Managing budgets, weekly reporting for invoices and financials
-Planning, preparing & delivering daily caterings
-Shopping & ordering goods / maintaining inventory
-Managing customer service / social media
-Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
-Supporting employees and solving problems
-Managing training of Workplace Essential Skills (class) participants
-Giving feedback & Coaching participants and employees
-Staffing / scheduling
-Assisting with planning start-up of new café/kitchen space
-Managing new space
-Developing community programs for our new space
-Developing / modifying menus / specials

Customer Relations:

-Managing phone & email
- Orders & Events
-Problem solving

Over-seeing Café & School Food Programs:

-Assisting with Inventory management, orders & customer service
-Supporting/ covering for staff as needed
- Managing issues / staffing / problem solving with support of Social Enterprise  Developer
-Quality control
-Marketing/ on-boarding new customers /Identifying & pursuing new opportunities

Schedule:

We do not do much evening/weekend work, but do require flexibility from a Manager. Typically, this schedule will be 6-8 hours a day (allowing for some shorter days, for some over-time during peaks), 8-4 or similar.

Compensation:

-35-40 hours per week

-Competitive salary with additional incentives
