Title: Later Stages Caregiver Support Network Facilitator –Volunteer

Saint John Summary: The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick is currently seeking a kind and caring volunteer to facilitate our monthly later stages caregiver support network. Training will be provided by the Alzheimer Society prior to the beginning of support network. Responsibilities:  Lead monthly support group meetings  Act as a point of contact for the Alzheimer Society within your community  Act as a resource for caregivers attending support network  Provide support for caregivers  Prepare coffee/beverages for support network meetings

Qualifications:  Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written & verbal)  Ability to work independently, as well as in a team  Familiarity with the community  General understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia

Time Required: 3-4 hours per month
