is a clearinghouse for volunteer resources, a member agency of the United Way, serving Saint John and beyond since 1973. Saint John Volunteer Centre: engaging people to volunteer effectively in the community. Saint John Volunteer Centre From the Executive Director
Many people find great satisfaction in volunteering, in working toward a common goal, some greater purpose. After 14 years as Executive Director of the Saint John Volunteer Centre, I still marvel at the
passion, action, and impact of local volunteers and organizations. Volunteering is about finding your niche – matching your interests and skills to a need in our community. There is something for everyone!
Volunteers have always benefited from their contribution of time and talent. Today, volunteers understand the ‘
skill building potential’ of volunteer work bringing experience, expanding networks and opportunities for learning. Be open to the possibilities. If you want to find your best match, call me. I’ll be glad to help you make the connections.
I am excited to see the wide array of terrific volunteer organizations responding to the needs of children and youth, seniors, arts and culture, health and social services, the environment…..accomplishing great things, making a difference. Saint John Volunteer Centre member agencies, we work with you, and for you!
